Tom Riley

Tom was involved in drama in his home town of Maidstone, Kent, from the age of four and spent his school years writing and directing plays. He studied English Literature and Drama at Birmingham University, graduating in 2002 with first class honours, and set up a small theatre company before deciding to go to drama school. He started the three year Professional Acting Course at LAMDA the same year, completing his studies in 2005.

Tom is perhaps best known for his television roles - most recently as Laurence Shepherd in ITV's Monroe, as Gavin Sorensen to critical acclaim, in ITV's Bouquet Of Barbed Wire, and as Mr Wickham in ITV's Lost In Austen. Other television credits include Casualty 1906 and 1907, and episodes of Lewis, Poirot and Miss Marple.

Film credits include I Want Candy, St. Trinians 2 - The Legend Of Fritton's Gold and Happy Ever Afters.

He has also received outstanding reviews and recognition for his stage performances. These include an award nomination in The Offies for his role as Bach, in Hurts Given and Received in 2010, and a Drama Desk Award nomination for his role as Septimus Hodge in the 2011 revival of Ardacia on Broadway.
