Reiko IkeOne of the undisputed queens of Japanese exploitation cinema of the 70s, Reiko Ike (born in 1953) starred in such brilliant so-called "Pink Violence" flicks as "Sex & Fury" and "Female Yakuza Tale".Pink movies are akin to what we would term "blue" in the West, and these kind of soft core titillating movies were staple popcorn fodder in the golden age of exploitation film. Reiko specialized in a variety called Sukeban or "boss girl" movies, which are basically female led Japanese gangster movies. Oh and she spends a lot of time in these movies fighting naked for no reason you can figure out other than it looks really cool and she is splendid in the buff. Yes her movies are not the best written, yes the subtitles are often awful, yes the acting is cardboard and the stories laughable, but the stunning fights and the gorgeous photography and cheesy porno music get you in the end and they are quite addictive. See where Quentin Tarantino got his inspiration for Kill Bill 1 & 2. Reiko Ike - filmography
