Raven-Symone

Know professionally as Raven-Symoné or Raven. She was born December 10, 1985, full name Raven-Symoné Christina Pearman. A young multitalented American, Raven started out as an actress in A Different World, Forever Hold Your Peace (a College Spin off from The Cosby Show), but since then has become a singer-songwriter, fashion designer and television producer.

Raven then had a more permanent role as Olivia Kendal the cute Granddaughter of Bill Cosby on The Cosby Show (1989-92). Since then she has acted in a range of TV sitcom comedies, movies. Provided her voice to a few feature-length animated movies, soundtracks and even had a hand at producing.

After the Cosby show Raven went on to appear in Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper (1993-1997), followed by her first role in a big screen movie The Little Rascals as Stymie's Girlfriend. After that Raven was cast as Charisse Dolittle in Dr. Dolittle and Dr. Dolittle 2 as Eddie Murphy’s eldest daughter.

In 2003 Raven took the lead role in the Disney series That’s So Raven which aired until late 2007. During this period of time Raven made an appearance in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. As well as taking a voice role as Danielle in Fat Albert and Monique in Kim Possible (animated TV show 2002-2007), and the two feature-length animated movies, Kim Possible: A Sitch in Time (2003) and Kim Possible: So the Drama (2005).

But her major film role during her That’s So Raven years was as lead singer Galleria Garibaldi, one of the four city girls that dreamed of becoming superstars in Disney TV movies The Cheetah Girls (2003) and The Cheetah Girls 2 (2006).

Raven provided her voice as Marti Brewster, a young girl in the computer-animated feature film Everyone’s Hero (2006), and Iridessa in Tinker Bell (2008).

2008 Raven stars with Martin Lawrence as Melanie Porter in College Road Trip. A comedy movie about a overachieving 17 year old girl getting ready to graduate from high school and head off to find the perfect College. Part from her Dad decides to help her out with his choice of College (preferably the one down the road).

Even though Raven has only a few movies under her belt so far she has been a pretty busy with her creative activities. Only time will tell if the list of movies will increase.
