Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore
Born 22 February 1975, in Culver City, California - Drew Blythe Barrymore already has a career of 30 years and counting, with ad-work before her first birthday, the big role in ET - The Extra-Terrestrial in 1982, and a Golden Globe nomination for Irreconcilable Differences in 1984.

Hard partying followed, though with less jelly & ice-cream and more drink, cigarettes, marijuana and cocaine than the average 12 year old probably enjoys, which ensured fairly permanent residence on the tabloid pages for the next decade or so.

Bad-girl reputation was parlayed into the teen seductress role of Poison Ivy in 1992, and Drew began to leave some of the mayhem behind. An opening cameo in Scream (1996) proved to be the next big milestone, where saucepot stuff gave way to the lovably sincere rom-com turns she now trades on: see The Wedding Singer, Never Been Kissed, 50 First Dates, Perfect Catch, and now Music And Lyrics for details…

Wise Words: "I don't want to sit around and hope good things happen. I want to make them happen."
