Spike Jonze
Born on 22nd October 1969, Adam Spiegel has had the nickname Spike Jonze since high school.

Before getting involved in feature films, Jonze made skate and music videos, including collaborations with Bjork, R.E.M and the Beastie Boys.

He was a producer and co-creator of MTV television series Jackass and Jackass: The Movie.

In 2000 Jonze was nominated for a Best Director Oscar for his film Being John Malkovich. Jonze’s other feature films include Adaptation (2002) and the highly anticpated Where the Wild Thing Are (2009).

From 1999 until 2003, Jonze was married to director Sofia Coppola. It’s rumoured that Giovanni Ribisi’s character in Coppola's Lost In Translation is based on Jonze, although she’s denied this. Jonze was also in a relationship with Michelle Williams from July 2008 until September 2009.
