Dolph Lundgren
Swedish actor Dolph Lundgren's movie career began when then girlfriend 'Grace Jones' recommended him as an extra for the 007 movie 'A View To A Kill'. He then landed his breakthrough role in 'Rocky 4' as the now iconic 'Ivan Drago'. Lundgren then became every little boys hero by playing cartoon hero 'He-Man' in ' Masters Of The Universe'. His next movie ' Red Scorpion' saw Lundgren playing a Russian for the 2nd time in his career as an ex Spetznaz soldier. ' The Punisher' released in 1988 saw Lundgren take on the role of the comic book hero and his alter ego 'Frank Castle' alongside Louis Gossett Jnr. Other 80's movies include' Dark Angel' (AKA 'I Come In Peace)'. The 90's saw some of Lundgren's best work including ' Cover Up', ' Blackjack', 'Joshua Tree' (AKA Army of One), Pentathlon, ' Men Of War', ' Johnny Mnemonic' with ' Keanu Reeves', 'The Peacekeeper', and ' Universal Soldier' where he stole the show from then action superstar 'Jean Claude Van Damme'. He also co-starred with the late ' Brandon Lee' in ' Showdown In Little Tokyo'. During the noughties. Lundgren's movies have tended to be released straight to dvd, with films such as, ' The Minion', 'Jill the Ripper', ' Sweepers', 'Stormcatcher', 'The Final Enquiry', 'Agent Red', ' Direct Contact', Detention', 'Retrograde' and many more. Lundgren has more recently tried his hand at directing in movies such as, The Defender, Missionary Man, The Mechanik, and Diamond Dogs. He has recently finished wrapping up filming to Command Performance, Icarus, Direct Contact and also Universal Soldier: the new beginning. He also set to return to the big screen alongside Sylvester Stallone, Steven Seagal, Jason Statham, Arnold Schwarzenneger, Jet Li, and Mickey Rourke in The Expendables
