Mina Anwar

Mina Anwar was born on the 20th September 1969 in Church in Accrington in Lancashire.
Mina had a recurring role of Dr. Sandra Malik in The Bill, and has played Sister Zita Khan in Doctors and Nurses.
She has also performed as a storyteller in Razzledazzle, played the part of Ravinder Kalirai in Coronation Street, Tina Beaverstock in Mayo, Jeena in No Angels, Fay Michaels in Holby City and starred as Antonia in Love Soup.
Mina has also appeared as Shazza Karib in the drama series called Shameless. Shazza is the sister of Kash Karib, and new love of Norma Starkey. She starred alongside David Threlfall, Jody Latham, Gerard Kearns, Rebecca Ryan, Elliott Tittensor and Rebecca Atkinson.
Mina is a trained mezzo-soprano.
But perhaps Mina Anwar's most notable role is that of playing Police Constable Maggie Habib in the sitcom The Thin Blue Line, (listed as Thin Blue Line, The - The Complete Thin Blue Line) alongside Rowan Atkinson, Serena Evans, James Dreyfus, Mark Addy, David Haig and Rudolph Walker.
She has also starred as the Angel in Flint Street Nativity alongside Stephen Tompkinson, Mark Addy, Frank Skinner, Ralf Little, Dervla Kirwan, Josie Lawrence, Jane Horrocks, John Thomson, Neil Morrissey and Julia Sawalha.
Mina has also starred in The Invisibles as Helen Huthwaite, the wife of Hedley Huthwaite played by Dean Lennox Kelly (from Shameless). She also stars alongside Warren Clarke ( of Dalziel and Pascoe, and Down To Earth fame), and Anthony Stewart Head ( of Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Little Britain fame).
Mina appears in the second series of The Sarah Jane Adventures opposite Elisabeth Sladen in which she plays Gita Chandra, the mother of Rani Chandra.
Mina has starred in Scoop as Selena Sharp with Mark Benton and Shaun Williamson.
