Sam Butler

Born in Devon in 1976, Sam grew up without a TV but access to a huge amount of video's, as his best friend's (Brendan Carol) mother worked in the local video shop.
Classic's from The Exterminator to Raider's of the Lost Arc became a weekly diet for Sam as he stayed over at his friends house in Moretonhampstead.
At Ashburton Secondary school Sam's passion for Drama gained momentum as he took regular leading and supporting roles in all school productions, ranging from Brecht's The Exception to the Rule, through to Guys and Dolls, where tragedy struck when he was cast as Sky Masterson. He broke his leg in a football match for Moretonhampstead FC. Alan Sutton, the drama teacher, took it upon himself, to re-write segments of the schools production, and Sam played a narrator, reading segments of Damon Runyon's short stories, from a wheelchair.
He moved on to the city lights of Exeter College, playing Leonardo in the college production of Blood Wedding, and, according to his mother Anna, one of his finest performance's, playing Benedict in a production of Much A'do About Nothing.
A degree at Royal Holloway followed, and epic performances in many hall's of residence followed. Along with huge amounts of starring roles in the media students short films. Things swiftly moved down hill, as he graduated, and made appearance's in Hornblower, Gladiator, and the BBC's Down to Earth, taking him back home to Devon. Thankfully, Jake West new his brother-in-law, and gave him one last chance. Casting Sam as Evil Aliens's Ricky Anderson. A star turn was given, and Devon's answer to Harrison Ford now awaits for Steven Spielberg to call, once he has finally this amazing performance.
