Sean BiggerstaffBorn in Maryhill, Glasgow in March 1983; Sean Biggerstaff is perhaps best known for his role in 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' (2001) as Quidditch captain Oliver Wood. Wood is responsible for furnishing Potter with a knowledge of Quidditch and nurturing his talent. Biggerstaff reprised this role for the 2002 sequel, 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets'.In 2003, he went on to play Henry, Duke of Gloucester in 'Charles II: The Power and the Passion' before securing a role as Ben Willis in the original, short version of 'Cashback' (2004). Cashback was very well received and, consequently; one year later, the young actor was asked to shoot extra scenes for a feature-length version of the film, which was released in 2006. Since Cashback, Biggerstaff has appeared in a number of television productions; such as 'Consenting Adults', 'The Lost Book' and 'Marple: Why Didn't They Ask Evans'. Recently, though, he has ventured into more substantial movie roles. In 2009, he took the lead role as Paul, a cartographer, in Jeff Desom's 'X on a Map'. This year (2010), Biggerstaff stars alongside Sienna Miller and Cillian Murphy in 'Hippie Hippie Shake', adapted from the memoirs of counterculturalist, Richard Neville.
