Shemar Moore

Shemar Franklin Moore was born on the 20th April 1970 in Oakland in California. He is a former male fashion model with Irene Marie Models.
Shemar graduated from Santa Clara University, where he got his degree in Communications. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, he modelled to pay his bills.
Shemar's first major role was as Malcolm Winters on The Young and the Restless with Eric Braeden, Melody Thomas Scott, Peter Bergman, Joshua Morrow, Michelle Stafford, Sharon Case and Christian LeBlanc and is the permanent host of the long-running Soul Train series..
Shemar played the part of Detective Jesse Reese in Birds of Prey, and played the role of Emery Simms in Motives and Motives 2 alongside Vivica A. Fox .
Other roles include Butter (also known as Never 2 Big) as Freddy Roland with Donnie Wahlberg, How to Marry a Billionaire: A Christmas Tale as Jason Hunt alongside Dorie Barton, Rhea Perlman, John Stamos and Joshua Malina, The Brothers as Terry White opposite Morris Chestnut, D.L. Hughley, Bill Bellamy and in Chasing Alice with Theresa Russell.
Another role of Shemar's was in Malcolm & Eddie in the episode called Won't Power as Ty, he was also in For Your Love in the episode called Baby Boom as Dakota Collins alongside Holly Robinson Peete, James Lesure, Tamala Jones, Dedee Pfeiffer and D.W. Moffett, in Moesha in the episode called Had to Be You as Earl Thomas with Brandy Norwood, in Mama Flora's Family as Lincoln Fleming with Hill Harper and Queen Latifah and in Chicago Hope in the episode called Waging Bull as Bobby Barrett alongside Mandy Patinkin, Thomas Gibson and Adam Arkin.
Shemar also appeared in Toni Braxton's music video, for the song "How Many Ways." He has also appeared in The Seat Filler as Trent opposite Kelly Rowland, Duane Martin, DeRay Davis, Melanie Brown and Patrick Fischler.
Shemar was also in Diary of a Mad Black Woman as Orlando with Cicely Tyson, Steve Harris,Tamara Taylor, Kimberly Elise and Tyler Perry.
But perhaps Shemar's most notable role is that of playing FBI Special Agent Derek Morgan in Criminal Minds - Season 1,Criminal Minds - Season 2 and Criminal Minds - Season 3 alongside Mandy Patinkin, Thomas Gibson, A.J. Cook, Paget Brewster, Matthew Gray Gubler, Kirsten Vangsness, Joe Mantegna and Lola Glaudini. The show follows the adventures of a team of profilers from the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) at Quantico, Virginia.
