Brittany Murphy
Brittany Murphy has died aged 32 of a cardiac arrest.

According to reports, the Just Married star was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, on 20th December where she was pronounced dead upon arrival, after suffering a fatal heart attack.

Born 10th November 1977, in Atlanta Georgia, Murphy landed her first acting job in Hollywood at the tender age of 14, as Brenda Drexell in the television series Drexell's Class. Murphy continued to work in television with recurring roles on Sister, Sister, Party of Five, and Boy Meets World plus several guest appearances on shows such as Frasier and Blossom. She also voiced Luanne Platter on animaTed TV series King of the Hill.

In 1995 Murphy was cast as Alicia Silverstone’s high school “project” in the teenage comedy Clueless, and later as a mental patient alongside Angelina Jolie and Winona Ryder, in the critically acclaimed Girl InterrupTed. Murphy’s success in the film industry continued through the noughties with lead roles in 8 Mile (2002) and Just Married (2003) alongside then boyfriend Ashton Kutcher, and as part of an ensemble cast in Robert Rodriguez’s Sin City (2005).

In addition to a film career, Murphy also dabbled in the music industry. She topped the charts with lead vocals on a Paul Oakenfold track, and featured on several songs produced for the film Happy Feet.
