Anna Friel
Anna Louise Friel was born on the 12th July 1976 in Rochdale in Lancashire.
Her first appearance was in G.B.H. as Susan Nelson alongside Robert Lindsay, Michael Palin, Lindsay Duncan and Julie Walters, Emmerdale as Poppy Bruce, Medics as Holly Jarrett and Brookside as Beth Jordache.
Other roles include The Imaginatively Titled Punt & Dennis Show, Tales from the Crypt as Angelica and in Cadfael - The Complete Series 2 in the episode called A Morbid Taste for Bones as Sioned alongside Derek Jacobi and in the film called The Land Girls as Prue (Prudence) with Catherine McCormack and Rachel Weisz.
Other roles include Our Mutual Friend as Bella Wilfer with Paul McGann, The Stringer as Helen, The Tribe as Lizzie opposite Joely Richardson and Jeremy Northam and in St. Ives also known as All For Love as Flora Gilchrist alongside Miranda Richardson, Richard E Grant and Jean-Marc Barr.
Anna has appeared in William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream as Hermia with Michelle Pfeiffer, Calista Flockhart, Kevin Kline and Rupert Everett, Rogue Trader as Lisa Leeson opposite Ewan McGregor and Yves Beneyton, Mad Cows as Maddy alongside Joanna Lumley and Greg Wise and in Sunset Strip as Tammy Franklin.
Another role was in An Everlasting Piece as Bronagh with Billy Connolly, Des McAleer, Barry McEvoy and Brían F. O'Byrne.
She has also starred in The Fear as the Storyteller, The War Bride as Lily with Brenda Fricker and Molly Parker, Me Without You as Marina opposite Kyle MacLachlan and Michelle Williams, Fields of Gold as Lucia Merritt and in Watermelon as Claire Ryan alongside Jamie Draven, Des Cave and Brenda Fricker.
She has voiced the part of Bodney in Last Rumba in Rochdale and appeared in Timeline as Lady Claire with Paul Walker, Frances O'Connor and Gerard Butler,
Perfect Strangers as Susie Wilding opposite Rob Lowe and Khandi Alexander and in Irish Jam as Maureen alongside Eddie Griffin and Roger Ashton-Griffiths.
Other roles include Goal! and Goal 2 - Living the Dream as Roz Harmison with Kuno Becker, Frances Barber, Mike Jefferies and Alessandro Nivola and also in Land of the Lost as Holly opposite Will Ferrell and Danny R. McBride.
Anna has starred in Niagara Motel as Denise opposite Craig Ferguson and Kevin Pollak, Rubbish as Isobel, Angel Makers as Lizzie and in Bathory as Countess Erszébet Bathory alongside Karel Roden and Hans Matheson.
She is perhaps notably known however for playing the part of Charlotte "Chuck" Charles in Pushing Daisies - Season 1 and Pushing Daisies - Season 2 with Chi McBride and Lee Pace.
