Dawn Steele

Dawn Anne Steele was born on the 11th December 1975 in Glasgow.
Dawn has worked in the theatre and had parts in the plays Tutti Frutti and Home Edinburgh at the National Theatre of Scotland. She has played the parts of Electra in Crysothemis and Medea in the play called Gluake at the Theatre Babel .

Other theatre productions Dawn has starred in are in the play called The Slab Boys at The Traverse in Edinburgh and in Rainbow Kiss as Shazza at The Royal Court Theatre in London.
Dawn also appeared as a student on the BBC reality show Fame Academy in a second all-celebrity series in aid of the charity Comic Relief does Fame Academy.
Dawn has had film roles including Surveillance opposite Tom Harper and Sean Brendan Brosnan and in Club Le Monde opposite Frank Harper and Brad Gorton.
She has also appeared in the 2nd series of the cult series called Sea Of Souls - Series 2 as Justine McManus with Bill Paterson and Iain Robertson, and in the 1st series of the show called True Dare Kiss Series 1 alongside Lorraine Ashbourne, Samantha Blakey and Brendan Coyle.
But Dawn Steele is perhaps best known as Alexandra "Lexie" MacDonald from the hit BBC drama Monarch of the Glen, a part which she played for series 1 - 6 of the show, from 1999-2004. She stars opposite Richard Briers, Susan Hampshire, Simone Lahbib, Lloyd Owen, Hamish Clark and Alastair Mackenzie.
