John Candy
John Candy is a man who was often described as larger than life. This turned out to be incorrect and potentially offensive. He was however one of Canada's best loved comedians. In some circles referred to as 'The jolly joker', ' A real life snowman', 'A more reliable Santa Claus', 'The great man' or 'Candy Newman'.
He started off on SCTV but no-one knew what that was so he promptly left to do films. He was one of those actors that would learn all his lines and say them at the correct time. His biggest regret was working with Tom Hanks on several occasions.
