Amy Acker
Amy Louise Acker was born on the 5th December 1976 in Dallas in Texas. She started as a model for the J. Crew clothing catalogue.
In 1999, she was nominated for a Leon Rabin award for "Outstanding Performance by an Actress in A Lead Role" for her performance in the play Thérèse Raquin. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in the same year.
Amy has had guest starring roles in Private Practice in the episode called "A Family Thing" as Molly with Kate Walsh and Tim Daly and in Ghost Whisperer in the episode called "Weight Of What Was" as Tessa opposite Jennifer Love Hewitt.
She has appeared in Law & Order: Criminal Intent in the episode called "Smile" as Leslie LeZard opposite Kathryn Erbe and Vincent D'Onofrio and in Justice League Unlimited as a voice over for the Huntress.
She has starred in Angel alongside David Boreanaz, Charisma Carpenter, Andy Hallett, J. August Richards and Alexis Denisof as Winifred "Fred" Burkle and also as Illyria.
She won the 2003 Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress on Television for her portrayal of Fred and Illyria.
Other roles followed as the evil Kelly Peyton in Alias - Season 5 with Jennifer Garner and in Supernatural - Season 1 - Part 1 as Andrea Barr alongside Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki and Callum Keith Rennie.
Amy had a small part as Miggy in Catch Me If You Can with Tom Hanks and Leonardo Di Caprio.
She has also appeared in Dollhouse as Dr. Claire Saunders with Eliza Dushku and Reed Diamond.
Other roles include Drive as Kathryn Tully with Kristin Lehman, Emma Stone and Nathan Fillion, Return to the Batcave - The Misadventures of Adam and Burt as Kathy Kersh alongside Adam West and Burt Ward.
Amy has been in To Serve and Protect as Melissa Jorgensen and as various characters in Wishbone with Larry Brantley, Jordan Wall and Adam Springfield.
Amy also starred in Alyson Hannigan's new show called How I Met Your Mother - Series 1 as Penelope, in which she was reunited with Angel co-star Alexis Denisof (who is Alyson Hannigan's real-life husband), who had a recurring role on the show and also stars Josh Radnor, Neil Patrick Harris and Cobie Smulders.
Amy has also had roles in the films 21 and a Wake-Up as Caitlin Murphy opposite Faye Dunaway, Danica McKellar and Ed Begley Jr., Dragon Chronicles - Fire And Ice as Princess Luisa alongside Tom Wisdom and John Rhys-Davies and in A Near Death Experience as Ellie.
Other roles include the short Mr Dramatic as Jodi opposite Oliver Hudson, The Novice (renamed to Crossroads) as Jill, Groom Lake as Kate with William Shatner and The Accident as Nina.
Another new role is in the TV series Happy Town as Rachel Conroy with Sam Neill and Dean Winters.
