Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise
Born 3 July, 1962, in Syracuse, New York, Thomas Cruise Mapother IV is a megaton movie missile.

Phase 1: the pre-flight years, spent in the care of nomadic parents, prepping for the priesthood. Phase 2: lift-off, as the acting bug bites and Tom goes Brat Pack in The Outsiders, and kit-off in the likes of Risky Business and All The Right Moves.

Phase 3: jet-propelled in the seat of the Top Gun fighter plane and the young-sexy-cock(tail)y roles of the late 80s, alongside a marriage to Mimi Rogers. Phase 4: Cruise-control achieved during the 90s through actorly turns and big-budget blockbusters (most of which are sheer box-office gold), and exchanging Rogers for Nicole Kidman.

Phase 5: into orbit, as Nicole exits, and Tom punches clean through the stratosphere with Spielberg’s Minority Report, The Last Samurai and Collateral. And now, Phase 6: out of this world, off the planet, into deep space, etc… with War Of The Worlds, MI3, Katie Holmes as Wife #3, and an increasingly outspoken devotion to Scientology.

Wise words: "I have cooked turkeys in my day, but when Mom's around I let her do it."
