Kiefer William Frederick Dempsey George Rufus Sutherland was born in London, UK, on 21st Decemeber 1966, to Actor Donald Sutherland and actress Shirley Douglas. Kiefer's first big film was in The Bay Boy (1984).

Kiefer has a twin sister called Rachel Sutherland.
