Ray Stevenson

Ray Stevenson is a British born actor from Newcastle, born in 1963.

Ray didn't start acting until he was 27, going to the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Prior to this he worked as an interior designer in London. After he graduated from the Old Vic Ray worked in British television for a number of years on programmes like 'Peak Practice' and 'Band of Gold', and in TV films like 'The Return of the Native', before eventually getting his big break into Hollywood with 'King Arthur' in 2004. This led in 2005 to one of his best known roles, Titus Pullo in the US television series 'Rome'.

In 1997 Ray married the actress Ruth Gemmell (meeting her during the filming of 'Band of Gold'), before they divorced in 2005. Ray then met Elisabetta Craccia while filming 'Rome'; they have a son who was born in 2007.
