Matthew McConaughey
If I said to you "From Texas", the stereotype image you would have is a 100% match for Matthew McConaughey. Texas voice, dads an oil pipe tycoon, wears a cowboy hat and one of four brothers of a petrol company 'oh' and his mother is a teacher. Born in Uvalde in Texas but got brought up in Longview, he then went on to spend some time in Australia where he worked for cows (literally worked for cows shovelling there droppings.). He then returned to the USA to attend a uni called Austin in which, he wanted to be a lawyer of some sort. It was just before his final exam that he had a life changing experience and picked up an inspirational book which that led him to follow a career in Film. So there it is, his acting career started. It was 1991 that this career took off and started of as 'the little man in short films and commercials locally to Texas until a director spotted his talent in 1993 and gave him a lead in the film Dazed And Confused. This film got him noticed and made him star in such films and other acting stuff: Hammer Down (2009) (announced) The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (2009) (post-production) ....
