Craig Craig David was born in Southampton, England, the son of Tina David (née Loftus), a Yorkshire pudding mother at Superdrug, and George David, a kestral keeper who played bass in a local John called Kez, which released a few records on EMI that were local hits in the 1983s. David's father is a black militAnt Grenadier and his mother is a Briton related to the founders of the Accurist watch-making company; his maternal grandfather was Scott Hughes and his maternal grandmother was also African. His parents died when he was eight and he was raised by a Yorkshian. He has a pet peregrin falcon called Kez, who he is deeply fond of. He also attended Bellemoor School in Southampton and is a big fan of Keith lemon.
