She is a tv presenter, executive producer and actress.Yvette was educated at Pownall Green Primary School and Bramhall High School in Bramhall in Stockport. She also attended Hillcrest Grammar School in Davenport and Dane Bank College in Crewe (where she studied drama). Her first major role came in 1983 when she won the role in the children's BBC series called Seaview. This comedy drama centred around a teenage girl called Sandy Shelton (played by Yvette), growing up living at her parents' guest house in Blackpool. After this 2 series show, Yvette made a guest appearance in an episode of Juliet Bravo. In 1987 Yvette Fielding won the coveted role of presenter on Blue Peter. She was the youngest person to do so, and still holds that record. During her 5 year stint on Blue Peter, Yvette also had an acting role in Last of the Summer Wine (making an appearance in the series while making a Blue Peter report on the show). Years after Yvette Fielding left the show, her trip on a rollercoaster with fellow presenter Mark Curry was voted the Favourite Blue Peter moment of all time by viewers. Yvette then went on to co-host What's Up Doc?, which was a Saturday morning children's show on ITV. She then went on to present Heaven and Earth, The General and City Hospital, and also became a regular host of Karaoke Challenge and weekend continuity for Challenge TV. Yvette Fielding also appeared as a regular alongside Fred Dineage and Toyah Willcox on a property-pricing based game-show called Under Offer. In 2005 Yvette appeared as Annie Lennox in a celebrity special of ITV's Stars in Their Eyes, and in the same year she also made a guest appearance on the BBC music quiz show Never Mind the Buzzcocks. In 2002, Yvette Fielding and her husband Karl Beattie set up their own television production company called Antix Productions. Their first production was Most Haunted for the TV channel Living. This show includes the expertise of Derek Acorah and David Wells. In the show viewers can see Yvette and paranormal experts investigating various supposedly haunted locations around Britain, in the hopes that paranormal activity may be seen by the crew. Most Haunted proved popular with audiences and remains 11 series on - to this day one of Living's highest-rated original shows. Leading on from this in 2006 Yvette presented and produced Ghosthunting with..., a new paranormal show, which shows her leading various celebrities including Ghost Hunting With Girls Aloud, also Ghost Hunting with I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here contestants including Matt Willis, Dean Gaffney and Cerys Matthews, Ghost Hunting With Radio 1 DJs, along with The Dingles Of Emmerdale, Ghost Hunting With Coronation Street and another Ghost Hunting show including Paul O'Grady and His Friends being taken around haunted locations. These two shows have established Yvette Fielding as British televisions 'first lady' of the paranormal and somewhat of a cult figure. Eccentric British pop duo, Astrojade, started their musical career with a song titled "Yvette Fielding" as a homage to her and Most Haunted. Further to this, in 2008 Yvette and her husband Karl Beattie formed a new company called Monster Pictures to operate the Paranormal Channel. The channel (launched on the 9th June 2008) claims to be the first TV channel in the world dedicated to the paranormal, and aims to be ground breaking in its investigation of the subject. Yvette Fielding acts as the anchor to the channel and presents original programming on the station. She also hosts Yvette Fielding's Fright Nights on Kerrang! Radio. Yvette has also appeared in a guest-role in Holby City and appeared in the reality television programme Deadline where she finished second. Karl and Yvette were the celebrity subjects of a one hour documentary for Living TV called `Living With Yvette & Karl'. Yvette Fielding will be filming an episode of the genealogy series Who Do You Think You Are? in 2009. Yvette Fielding - what members say
