Mark Mylod

British born and Devon bred, Mark Mylod left school in 1983 with little in the way of qualifications that may suggest a budding TV and film career. He did however have a strong work ethic and a focused attitude and it was not long before he had worked his way through various theatre jobs in England before side-stepping into a Floor Assitant's role in the BBC. From here he ascended quicky into a Director's role producing some of the Beeb's finest light entertainment; highlights include 'The Fast Show'', 'Shameless' and 'Shooting Stars' for which he scooped a BAFTA. His film directorial debut was Sacha Cohen's 'Ali G Inda House' (2002). This opened up opportunities in the U.S and his next film was the quirky Fargo-esque 'The Big White' (2005) starring Robin Williams, Woody Harrelson and Holly Hunter. Mylod returned to TV comedy with the sit-com 'Entourage' which soon became a critical success. Similarly, Mylod has seen success with the U.S version of 'Shameless'. His return to film comedy is heralded by the recent arrival of 'What's Your Number?'
