Ridley Scott

Born in County Durham, UK, Sir Ridley is one of the two uber-successful Scott director-brothers. Widely considered to be one of the world's greatest-ever directors, Ridley began his directing career with some notable TV ads including the famous Apple Mac 1984 ad. Since then he has been nominated for numerous awards, including three Oscar nominations for best Director (Black Hawk Down, Thelma & Louise, and Gladiator).
