Christopher SmithChristopher Smith, (born 16 August 1970 in Bristol, England, UK) is a British film director and screenwriter. His four most prominent pieces of work are Creep, Severance, Triangle and Black Death.Smiths unique voice in both the fields of writing and direction has found him a cult following worldwide. He has a distinctive style with the ability to create a world for the audience to submerge into. He is now working on a miniseries based on the the novelist Kate Mosses bestselling adventure thriller, Labyrinth. This will have a top cast headed by John Hurt (Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows), Sebastian Stan (Captain America: The First Avenger, Gossip Girl), Oscar®, BAFTA and Golden Globe® nominee Janet Suzman (Nicholas and Alexandra, Midsomer Murders), Jessica Brown-Findlay (Downton Abbey, Misfits), Vanessa Kirby (The Hour, Great Expectations [2011]), multi-award winner Claudia Gerini (The Passion of the Christ, Under the Tuscan Sun), Katie McGrath (Merlin, Red Mist) and Emun Elliott (Game of Thrones, Black Death). Labyrinth is being produced by TANDEM COMMUNICATIONS (The Pillars of the Earth, The Company), Ridley Scott and Tony Scott's SCOTT FREE FILMS (The Good Wife, The Andromeda Strain) and Film Afrika Worldwide (Dark Tide, Endgame) in association with Universal Production Partners (UPP).
