Married couple Allie Henshall (Sarah Parish) and Gavin Ferraday (Jason Merrells) own a successful hair salon in Manchester. They plan to open a second business across the road, but the site is taken over by Mia (Amanda Holden) and her husband Finn (Ben Daniels). Not only does the couple open a rival salon, but it soon becomes apparent that Finn was once the love of Allie's life. The battle of the hairdressers turns nasty as Allie and Mia rival to become the best salon in Manchester, while Gavin and Finn rival over Allie's heart.
