Con artist Laure Ash pulls off a diamond robbery during the Cannes film festival. After double-crossing her associates she flees to Paris where she assumes another identity. Seven years on she resurfaces as the wife of the American ambassador to France where she is photographed by a Spanish photographer, Nicolas.
