Glossy teen drama BEVERLY HILLS 90210 was hugely popular throughout the '90s and launched the acting careers of Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty, Luke Perry, and Tori Spelling (whose father Aaron Spelling executive produced the show). Set in the posh, star-studded Southern Californian community of Beverly Hills, the series follows the lives of siblings Brandon (Priestley) and Brenda Walsh (Doherty) as they go through high school and all the stresses it entails. Although primarily aimed at the teen audience, 90210 never shied away from the bigger issues, such as date rape, alcoholism, drug abuse, suicide, or teen pregnancy.
