The Beastie Boys sprang to the forefront of American popular music in the mid-1980s with the release of their first rap album, LICENSED TO ILL, and proceeded to mature and break new ground with PAUL'S BOUTIQUE. With each subsequent release, they have managed to both define and push the envelope of the current musical scene.
