The tension-filled days of Cold War espionage and international intrigue return to life in this edge-of-the-seat political thriller. Yul Brynner plays a Soviet spy who defects to the West and brings along with him a list of several high-ranking Western officials who are in fact Soviet double agents. The Western governments, rocked by this high-level breach of security, send in two intelligence officials (Henry Fonda and Dirk Bogarde) to root out the double-crossing agents and avert this political time bomb.
