The battle of the sexes goes into full throttle in this madcap Western take on THE TAMING OF THE SHREW. G,W. McLintock (John Wayne) is a successful, hard-drinking, rabble-rousing cattle baron whose town is named in his honour. When Katherine (Maureen O'Hara), his estranged wife, seeks a divorce, they immediately lock horns, turning the entire town on its ear in a hilarious romantic showdown. Besides his hot-tempered wife, McLintock also has to contend with his daughter (Stefanie Powers) and her suitors, a confrontation between homesteaders and cattlemen, and other hassles.
