Into the Wild
Extremely moving portrayal of one mans journey of self discovery, as he trades in his old lifestyle and heads off for Alaska.
On his adventure he meets a variety of interesting characters whilst wrestling with his own demons and whatever nature has to throw at him, and all with the most basic of essentials......oh and a gun!!!!!
He was young, naive and stubborn, some would say selfish, but I believe he was simply punishing his parents (like so many teenagers do), whilst trying to discover who he was.
Nothing like I was expecting....can't recommend this enough!!!!

The Dark Knight
My favourite movie of the summer. Not so much a comic book caper, more a high octane thriller!!! Heath Ledger as the Joker is so menacing and brooding he is almost too good for the film as you want to concentrate fully on his mesmerising performance. An excuse for another viewing!!! I didn't think Chris Nolan could better Batman Begins, but he has and then some!!!! See it at the IMAX if possible and its even better!!! Outstanding!!!
