Jules Et Jim

Francois Truffauts ode to love and friendship. Another beautiful yet sad one. Paris, truffaut and the nouvelle vauge. Whats not to love. Beautifully shot.
  • Jules Et Jim on DVD (1961)

Jean-Luc Godard Collection Vol.1

For A Bout De Souffle. Jean luc Godard and Paris. Beautifully shot with some major chemistry between the leads. Nouvelle Vauge at its finest.

The 400 Blows

Truffaut again. This time with a semi autobiographical tale. Heartbreaking tale about Antoine, the boy who no one really wanted. And his resulting trouble making. Funny, bleak and melancholy. Beautiful.

Before Sunrise

Do you believe in fate? That two people are destined to meet and be together? If you do, watch this gorgeous film. If, like me, you dont, then watch it anyway.

Before Sunset

Linklaters follow up to "Before Sunrise". Just as lovely, only older, sexier and shot in Paris. One of my favourite endings.

Annie Hall

Woody Allen and love? Well this is how it looks. Disfunctional, confused and a little bit desparate. My favourite Woody Allen movie. And the truest account of relationships I have ever seen. This is how love really is.
  • Annie Hall on DVD (1977)
Starring: Woody Allen,  Diane Keaton,  Tony Roberts
    Director: Woody Allen
    Certificate: Certificate: 15
Woody Allen cowrote, directed, and stars in this award-winning film as a kvetchy Brooklyn comedian wistfully recalling his bygone relationship with flighty, adorable, and irrepressibly midwestern (read: not Jewish) Annie Hall. The film marked a transition from Allen's earlier absurdist comedies to ..read more »

Bernardo Bertolucci's nod to cinema and film. Gorgeous and sexy.

Bernardo Bertolucci's THE DREAMERS centres on three university students who adore the Cinematheque Francaise, and are fascinated by '60s culture--the music of Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix, the films of Jean-Luc Godard, and the writings of Susan Sontag and Chairman Mao.
