Witty, original and extremely funny. I saw this in a cinema, full of single people, and every one of us was independently pissing ourselves with laughter. A god among black comedies.

The sort of thing you wish you could do, but in the end you are very glad you just watched instead. It left me feeling strangely adrift for several days.

Brick

Film noir in a modern setting and in colour. Strangely it really works. Joseph Gordon Levitt is so under rated, this is some of his very finest work.
