Promising first hour deteriorates into embarrassing cod-philosophising that makes Forrest Gump look like Satre. Pitt puts in a warm & subtle performance but Blanchett is plain annoying.

Superb take on the vampire mythology. Great performances, atmospheric direction & an interesting story make for one of the years best.
