Hardwickes second feature, pre Twilight. Thirteen was obvisuly gunna be hard one to follow as debuts go but Hardwick does good. This film generally oozzess cool and is great testemony to the legendary Z boys. Shame she couldnt have given Twilight the same energy that she creates here. One of my fave things about hardwickes first 2 triumphs is how much effort and thought goes into all sides of production, especially in detail of each shot.

This is a truly breathtaking film. set far away from city lights, a part of america rarely seen on the bigscreen is the first thing that captures you. what truly makes this film so good is its exploration into relationships of young people, the characters are entirely believable [supperb acting from such a young cast], this film delves deepy into the way real teens act, behave with eachother its this which really sets this film apart from others, so much so that it keeps you gripped even though the narrative itself is simple and if made any other way would be considered boring. However this film is truly superb and well worth the watch.

A nice piece, insanly funny in a smart way. this film literally drips with sarcasm and deals with the struggle of becoming someone when surrounded by soul sucking individuals, a point that most can relate to as we all have family. A smart sattire on the ivy league and K Culikn proves that talent can heredidtoray. A must watch for fans of black comedy and the Indie tag.

Holmes proves that those joey potter days are tuly behind her and reminds us that behind the Mrs Cruiz facade that she does have some talent. My favourite thing about this is the home movie feel it has which is reinforced by the style and editing. Although this is generally a nice film with a nice story, dont let it fool you into thinking it has no attitude.
