Like an irish 'Die Hard'.... a fun and entertaining film with a great early turn from 'Bond' Pierce Brosnan. Father Ted and Father Jack make apperances and Hans Zimmer (Composer of 'The Dark Night', 'The Rock' and 'The Simpsons Movie') provides a catchy, Irish theme that peppers the movie and adds adrenaline. Well worth a watch and, if being picky with marks, a fun 8 out of ten!

Not as well known as the other James Cameron and Arnold Schwarzenegger works, 'Terminator 2' springs to mind, this is a roaring action movie with humour in the style of 'Police Academy' at certain points. Jamie Lee Curtis may be known for the 'Hallowean' films but with 'True Lies' she proves she can do more than scream and growl... portraying a bored and half neglegted house wife who becomes a bumbling and curious sidekick and trasforms into an action hero herself along side the governators hilarious main man. Plenty of laughs and chases and explosions to satisfy every 12 year old and a blend of sutle and gorwn-up humour too. In would definatly agree that its a 'must - see! '

Whoever said Roger Moore Couldn't act has obviously never seen this film! Based on a story by Alfred Hitchcock Moore plays the main character brilliantly with more than just one eyebrow raised. Yes, the special effects and back projection may be very 70's but the sheer drama is enough to hook you in and keep you there. The musical score is a chilling aspect in itself, most notably at the climax chase of the film, and the direction could rival spielbergs himself. Its a darn shame the director died in a car accident - at the exact same spot Roger Moores charcter did. Spooky.

Undoubtably the best film to come out of Africa, this gem is a hoot! The best character is,without a second thought, the cheeky land rover. Bordering on Bumbling Romantic Comedy and Action Adventure riddled with humour, it couldn't be any better. The editing may be jumpy and most of the time the film is sped up but it all adds to its charm. Unlikely to offend anyone - perfect family entertainment.
The second film is nowhere near as good, but the loveable bushman and another road trip storyline makes sure its not a disasterous sequel.
Both films are a good watch. The first one is a must.

A cult classic. If you've not seen this yet - you must! A great cast and great musical score from queen (!!) plus great direction and creative scripting and special effects proves that, like the tagline, There should only have been one!

Proves Chevy Chase can do semi-serious. A feel-good film thats a bit more gritty than other Chase films but it doesn't mean that its not comic! A very 80's musical score may date it to a certain extent but it is almost timeless, with a good dollop of storyline, comedy and action - a lot of film makers could learn from this film.

Not all Clint Eastwood films are action and westerns. This is evidence that he has range! Starting off in 1940's England after world war 2, it is based on John Huston and the filming of 'The Jungle Queen'. Filled with snarky humour and good acting, plus the predictable well-written script, all adds up to a great film. A tad different to other Clint films, it doesn't mean its not enjoyable. Nice to see Eastwood playing a character that is selfish and a complete control freak who doesn't get his own way - yet is humerous and doesn't miss a beat. A bit unusual but hugely enjoyable and a film to set you thinking.

Eerie, uncomfortable, depressing, scary, futuristic, chilling, tense. Everything that Orwell's book was. Richard Burton has a fantastic turn as O'Brian while John Hurt fits his role like a glove. Not the movie to watch if your already in a bad mood. But otherwise - loose yourself in it. I bet you come out thinking life aint so bad after all.

There has never been such a fantastic pairing as Dennis Waterman and the Late, Great John Thaw. The First film is more artistic - while the second is pure violence, sex and swearing. Both films have a scorching soundtrack - sweeney2 in particular, from Tony Hatch. Both films also have enough grit to fill a quarry. Indulge in some 70's drama. You won't regret it.

Not everyones cup of tea - but if you are a speilberg fan, or purely like car chases - this is the film for you! Suspensful, thrilling and downright tense this proves that Steven Speilberg has always had the goods. You'll never look at a motorway again.
