Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid

A real boysy film, however, one that my father had the sense to show me when i was young, making it an instant favourite. One of the first films that i rememeber that wasn't Disney. Redford and Newman are perfect- witty, charming and damn right gorgeous.

An incredible film, with an very clever story, told in three sections- heaven, earth and hell, portraying the highs and lows of heroine. Incredibly moving and poignant.

Shine

A biographical film about the life of David Helfgott, the Australian child prodigy pianist. Extraordinary music with a particularly moving performance from Geoffrey Rush, who in fact won best actor for this film. A film which deeply illustrates passion, obsession and addiction.
