Disney boldly experimented with different forms of animation, sometimes jettisoning any sort of narrative altogether. The result is a sometimes mesmerizing, sometimes hilarious, sometimes frightening, but always beautiful moviegoing experience. My favourite film of 1940.

1941 (2nd of 4 films): Dumbo is so cute. The ulimate lovable baby elephant. Not an easy storyline. Shunned for being different, he has his mother taken from him and is pressed into dangerous employment. A heartbreaking story with an exhilarating conclusion.
