King Wrong! - reviewed 18 Oct 06 - I didn't like this movie at all. Where were all the actors? Hiding behind all the special effects, that's where! Don't get me wrong I thought King Kong was brilliantly done, but there were times (especially the dinosaurs) when you could see how flawed the CGI was. I loved Lord of the Rings, so what happened?

Different - reviewed 19 Oct 06 - This film was totally not as I expected it to be! The whole film reminded me of a cross between film noir/comic books and Humphrey Bogart films. The voice overs got on my nerves a bit and would have rather just seen it acted out! The whole look was great and I even enjoyed some of the wierdness although I felt it was hyped too much!

Hyped! - reviewed 20 Oct 06 - Although I quite liked the overall tone of this film I felt that it had been hyped up upon its release. The torture scenes were very realistic and cringe worthy and the twist near the end was cleverly thought out and a very frightening idea!

Yawn! - reviewed 31 Oct 06 - Disapointing! A big fan of David Cronenburg films, he normally has the ability to shock me with his amazing body horrors i.e. The Fly, Scanners, eXistenZ etc. I found this film really quite boring and about halfway through we were checking the DVD to see how long was left!!!! Viggo Mortensen was a good actor throughout, but this film was really weak

Pretty Good - reviewed 06 Nov 06 - Well I was really looking forward to seeing this film and I reckon it was deffinately worth the watch. The plot twist was great, even though I kind of saw it coming half way through the film! Christian Bale was excellent, although very horrific to look at!!! I liked this film but believe that Memento (along similar lines) is a far superior film.

Film Was A Bit Dead Too! - reviewed 13 Nov 06 - To be honest this film was nothing new. It wasn't scary at all and the acting wasn't anything to write home about! It follows pretty much on from Dawn of the Dead, so if you liked George Romero's other zombie films then you will like this one. Plenty of gore and a film you don't really have to think about.

Should Have Stayed Silent! - reviewed 20 Dec 06 - After seeing the trailer for this film It looked like an amazing horror film, with great effects and very scary! Oh how wrong was I! From about half an hour into the film I didn't have a clue what was going on! Might of had more of an idea if I was tripping on acid! After about 1 hour we turned the film off and couldn't watch anymore as it was hopeless, weird and I didn't get it at all!

Suprisingly Good! - reviewed 05 Jan 07 - I really thought this film would be awful. I am a big Lord of the Rings fan and I was sure that this film would be a poorer version. However, I was wrong as I was gripped from the beginning. The child actors were ok (not brilliant) but the rest of the cast were fantastic along with the special effects. I hope they decide to do more films from this series as I thoroughly enjoyed it!
