The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy - Extended Editions - Blu-ray
Possibly the best 11 hours you will ever spend in front of a TV.
The first is a chase style film with the Fellowship being relentless pursued across middle earth by the black riders, goblins, cave trolls and finally the deadly Uruk-hai. Its the least action packed of the 3 but possibly the most nerve wracking.
The second is 2 movies in one, firstly its a adventure film for Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli as they follow in hot-pursuit of the captured Merry and Pippen. Plus Frodo and Sam's perilous trek towards Mount Doom under the direction of the mysterious creature Gollum. Then it turns into a full out war film with a sustained assualt from Saruman's forces on Helm's Deep (my personal favourite battle scene ever).
Finally it's all of the above rolled into one for the third film, massive battles everywhere, adventure as Aragorn passes into the forsaken lands. The power of friendship with Sam and Frodo's final push. Utter classic, epic, amazing piece of cinema. 10/10

All with Hans Zimmer's amazing score its just quality. Oh and its directed by Michael Bay so you know there is plenty of explosions.
