Saving Private Ryan

The first time I saw this at the cinema, the first 20 minutes odd left me stunned! This was possibly the first film that showed the actual horror that faced the troops on the beaches of Normandy. Excellent all round film, stunning effects. Possibly the best film I have ever seen at the cinema too, great use of surround sound and camera angles

Band Of Brothers

Possibly the best mini series ever made.... Truly touching at some points. If you haven't seen it, then you're really missing out!

The Thin Red Line

Any war film released after SPR was bound to be over shadowed. When I first saw this film, it did seem to drag, but after watching it many times on DVD, it has easily become one of my favourite war films ever.

Glory

I had seen this years ago. One thing that I really remembered was the rear view of an officer having his head blown off by a cannon. After purchasing it a while back, I realised how truly awesome this film is. Tackling the subject of not only the American civil war, but the plight of an all black unit and it's struggle to make an impact
