The Omen

1) 5 STARS -1976- directed by Richard Donner and winner of an Oscar for Best Original Score. I only saw this recently but it had me sitting on the edge of my seat glued to the screen.Film looks a bit dated but has a great story and suspense.

2) 5 STARS -1973- Directed by William Freidkin and winner of 2 Oscars for Best Sound and Best Writing From Another Medium. All time classic,another great score.Effects look dated, pea soup anyone?But this film is spooky as hell,found it disturbing more than scary but it was brilliant all the same.

4) 4 & HALF STARS -1980- Directed by Stanley Kubrick. An absolute classic from a novel from Stephen King. So many memorable moments and quotes. I remember first watching this by mistake when a programme my parents had taped for me finished and i let the tape carry on.They had gone out shopping and god was i preying for them to come back quickly.

6) 4 STARS-Another classic-The chest bursting scene is utter genius,claustrophobic and atmospheric sci fi gem. Ridley Scott really delivers the scares by using the mind as the budget wasn't big another to show the creature too much.

9) 4 STARS- Clive Barker's creation, Hellraiser is the first of this horror franchise.The Cenobites are excellent with Pin Head being super cool.Strangely enough they are not in this first installment that often, but it is driven along by a strong plot and good direction, the best of the Hellraiser films i've seen.
