The Zodiac

Firstly, I must point out that this is NOT the David Fincher film, although I believe they are depicting the same events. Having got that out of the way, I have nothing much to say about this film except that it was awful. Absolutely awful. Justin Chambers is woefully miscast.

Baise-Moi

A horribly miscalculated story with horribly underdeveloped characters. A film that sets out to shock and fails miserably.

Troy

Not absolutely awful, but certainly approaching it. With the exception of Peter O'Toole and Vincent Regan, this is some of the hammiest acting I've seen since... well, forever. The dialogue is atrocious.

With soaring photography that circles from above then swoops in for the action, TROY is Wolfgang Petersen's majestic presentation of the classic Greek legend. It tells the story of an epic battle over Helen (Diane Kruger), the queen of Sparta, who is kidnapped by her lover Paris (Orlando Bloom), ..read more »

Derailed

Begins as a horribly average love story and evolves into a horribly average thriller. Very poor overall.

Superman Returns

Far too long and far too dull. I felt exhausted by the end of this film.

Karla

Lack of consistency is the downfall here. The movie continuously runs hot and cold in terms of its dramatic success. Ultimately the bad outweighs the good by a relatively large margin.

Braveheart

Pretty dreadful for much of its unneccessarily lengthy duration. Far too contrived in its attempts to render an 'epic' tale. The only thing even approaching epic here is the running time, which at around three hours is testing to say the least. The usual accent confusion that characterises Americans playing non-Americans is all present and correct, and as irritating and irksome as usual. Having pointed out its many failings, it's probably only fair to refer to the less trite sequences. Sadly, they are few and far between, and there are certainly none that are particularly worthy of note. In short, never again.

Gone In 60 Seconds

I lost count of how many times this film made me cringe. Lackluster character development and a story that is as trite as they get make for a very underwhelming experience indeed.

S.W.A.T.

Excruciatingly tired clichés make up the majority of what this film has to offer. Not without its moments, but mediocre in the main.
