Something of a British cinema legend, Terence Stamp earned a 1962 Oscar nomination for his debut film, Billy Budd. A strong presence, even in supporting roles, Stamp hit iconic status as the villainous General Zod in the Christopher Reeve Superman movies, and in 1994's Priscilla - Queen of the Desert.
