Lord Of The Rings, The: The Fellowship Of The Ring

Everyone should see the whole trilogy at some point in their lives. Brilliantly directed by Peter Jackson, with a fabulous cast including Sir Ian McKellen, Christopher Lee, Viggo Mortensen, to name but a few, it's the perfect magical film fantasy that's enjoyable for all to watch (although younger children may find some parts scary). Endure the 1st half of this film, yes it's a little boring to start with, but it really comes into its own from the 2nd half of this film through to the following 2 films in this trilogy.

Lord Of The Rings, The - The Two Towers

By far the best film in the whole trilogy, but if you haven't seen the 1st film or read the 1st book there's no point in watching this one because it's not a story line that's easy to guess and you need to know what happened before it.

The Lord Of The Rings - The Return Of The King

A brilliant conclusion to the trilogy, and shows off Peter Jackson's directing ability fabulously. Only trouble is after the 1st half of this film it does get a bit long and boring, but that's not the films fault. The book is exactly the same, but the 1st half of this film is worth seeing just for the special effects alone.

Innerspace

Packed with really good special effects for 1987 of what we look like inside, capped with hillarious comedy acting by Martin Short and sarcastic humour from Dennis Quaid's character, it's just a fun packed, good all-rounder family film, with a bit of Sci-Fi thrown in for good measure.

Starring: Dennis Quaid,  Meg Ryan,  Kevin McCarthy
    Director: Joe Dante

Dennis Quaid stars as Lieutenant Tuck Pendleton, a hell-raising Navy test pilot, in this fantasy-suspense comedy that harkens back to 1966's FANTASTIC VOYAGE.
