The third best storyline in a Final Fantasy game (after FF6 and 7), however, what makes this game great are the characters, and the feel of the world overall. Also, you really have to think tactically at times to win battles. Great stuff!

Although the storyline lacks complexity, and the characters have a few missing personality aspects, the game itself is a serious improvement from previous Final Fantasies, with shockingly good voice acting, dialogue, a great battle system, and a believable world.

With its multiple endings and unsettling atmosphere, SoM is hard to forget, even after you've finished the game multiple times over. Eerie and very cleverly done.
