Frost/Nixon

16) 4 STARS -2008- Directed by Ron Howard. A film based on a famous interview in the 70's between David Frost and former President Richard Nixon, i must say i wasn't to sure how it would work out but i went out and rewatched All The Presidents Men, which by the way, is an awsome film before i watched this and i have to say i was pleasently surprised and really enjoyed it. It had alot of tension and a duel like quality between the two men as they each battled to come out on top.

Bruno is the son of a German Officer who is put in charge of a concentration camp, he has to move home and the only friend he meets is a boy with blue striped pyjamas who sits behind a fence. Brilliantly told story from a boy's point of view , but be warned the ending is quite harrowing.

20) 4 STARS - 2006- Directed by Richard Eyre. Judi Dench is outstanding as the dowdy teacher who at first forms a close friendship with Cate Blanchetts character but turns against her when she discovers she is having an affair with a pupil. Interesting character study but Dench's performance is the stand out.
