UK Distribution Centre Manager

LOVEFiLM has rapidly become the UK and Europe’s leading online DVD rental and film business. Based in Peterborough the Distribution Centre is a growing operation processing over 1.5 million DVDs per week.

We are now looking for a UK Operations Manager who will report into the Group Operations Director. You will be responsible for managing all UK fulfilment operations, which run the online DVD rental service.

The Role

The UK Operations Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the operation and maintaining our required levels of service in terms of speed and quality. LOVEFiLM operates our fulfilment service 6 days a week.

As well as maintaining staff relationships and managing KPIs; the Operations Manager is also responsible for ensuring a process of continuous improvement at the site. You will have 2 Deputy Managers to aid with running the site.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment
• Manage teams and individuals including maintaining quality and productivity targets
• Evaluate and benchmark service partners and set and maintain KPIs .
• Contribute to quarterly planning, forecasting and review sessions
• Work closely with cross functional teams e.g. brand; marketing and Customer Services
• Produce and present reports for senior management to facilitate business decision making
• Liaise across the international team for new projects and updates
• Manage recruitment and training
• Practical, 'hands-on' work where necessary
• Some travel to head office in London and our European centres will be required

• Graduate calibre
• Experience within a fast paced Distribution Centre
• Proven ability to drive results supported by strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen

• Ability to present in a clear, concise and confident manner

Desired skills:

• Experience within an international company
