Acclaimed director Mike Leigh has won 6 Oscar nominations for his work on Happy-Go-lucky, Vera Drake, Secrets and Lies and Topsy-Turvy, and continues his reign as one of today’s most admired directors with Another Year. Leigh (Vera Drake, Happy-Go-Lucky) collaborates once again with British heavyweights Jim Broadbent, Lesley Manville, and Ruth Sheen in this slice-of-life film about a middle-class couple and their family. Garnering fantastic reviews across the board, Another Year is set to be Leigh’s most acclaimed film to date. The film takes place over four seasons, and follows a happily-married middle-aged couple as they endure other people’s problems, enjoy their son’s newly-discovered partner, and cope with an unexpected family bereavement.
Another Year is released in cinemas on 5 November…
