This will appeal to fans of Jazz vocalists, but I can't imagine many others interested in this absorbing and thoroughly engaging documentary. My interest in Jackie Paris began when I discovered that Lenny Bruce had wanted to manage him in 1959. As the film unfolds, it all becomes clear why Jackie never made the big time. Did he die in 1977 ? Find out in this excellent testament to his musical legacy.
